Ingredients:
- 1 large Beetroot
- 1 cup Red Rice Flour
- 1/4 cup Semolina
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups water
- 1 medium sized Onion, finely chopped
- 2 Green Chillies, finely chopped
- Handful of Coriander leaves
- Sprig of Curry leaves
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
Cooking Method:
- Add beetroot chunks and 1/2 cup water to a blender and blend to a smooth paste.
- Transfer the beetroot paste to a large bowl and add in red rice flour, semolina, salt and 3 cups water. Mix all the ingredients together and ensure there are not lumps in the batter.
- To the batter add in onion, chilli, finely chopped coriander and curry leaves and cumin seeds.
- Set this aside for 10-20 minutes.
- Pre-heat a pan and pour a ladle full of batter. Holding the handle of the pan, rotate the pan to spread the batter evenly. Repeat the step for rest of the batter.
- This instant neer dosa batter is the easiest to make and is best served with coconut stew.
