Ingredients:
- 1 cup Jowar
- 1/2 cup Brown rice
- 1/4 cup Black Urad Dal
- 1/2 cup plain Urad Dal
- 1/2 tbsp Methi seeds
- 1 - 1 & 1/2 cups Water or as needed to make thick batter
- Salt to taste
- 5-6 Capsicum / Bell Peppers
Cooking Method:
- Soak the grains and blend all together to a smooth paste. set aside to ferment overnight.
- Let the batter ferment in a warm- dry place for roughly 8 hours.
- Wash the capsicums well, pat them dry. Cut open the capsicum top and scrape out the seeds.
- Pour the idli batter in each of the capsicum till they are 1/2 full and steam for 10-12 minutes.
- You can make normal idli(s) and dosa as well with this batter.
- Serve this steamy capsicum idli with protein chutney and enjoy!
